What you can do

Set up the beat for the piece you’re playing.

Tap in the pace you want

Tap along at the speed you want, then nudge the BPM up or down. Set the time signature and accent the beat you need to hear.

Hear where the notes land

Split the beat when a passage gets tricky, or try it with swing or a cross-rhythm. Add a drone when you want a pitch to play against.

Bring your tempos to rehearsal

Save the tempo and beat pattern for each piece, then put your presets in setlist order so the next setup is ready to go.
